Pondside Lodge: Hottub + Sauna + Firepit + Game Room

Just perfect for a photographer! Positive: I love the view, and the location!

The Pondside Lodge was a splendid place to stay for our trip to South Dakota! The lodge is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The living room picture window looks out over the pond and the Needles are clearly visible in the distance. It is a very relaxing location - quiet and lovely. We saw turkeys and deer every day going to and from the lodge. The lodge is a short drive to the Custer Wildlife Loop (spectacular!), the Needles Highway (amazing!), and Sylvan Lake (stunning!). Custer, just a few miles up the road, offers many delicious options for dinner, and the kitchen in the lodge is well-equipped if you want to eat in. I recommend the Pondside Lodge wholeheartedly for a restful vacation!

Check-in was very easy. The cabin was very clean, no complaints about that at all.We were a little disappointed with the kitchen amenities. No toaster! Pots and pans have seen better days. The listing was miss leading as far as having a washer and dryer in the cabin. They are listed in the amenities and the pictures show a washer and dryer, but when staying at the cabin, we found out they did not work. The hot tub had gross yellow and brownish fungus floating around. We felt the cabin was ok, but definitely NOT worth the price.

Incredible views off the beaten path. This rustic cabin mixes old and new. Be certain to come armed with quarters for the coin operated laundry. With kids along, using tech gear...WIFI is marginal. The game room is wonderful. Rustic (squeaky) cabinets are well stocked, with the exception of a toaster. We're not large folk, but the shower is TINY! The fire pit as well as the hot tub were both a hit and loved spending our evenings outdoors at the cabin. We'd always prefer a SmartTV in every bedroom. The location is perfect.

This little cabin was perfect for our family of 6. It was very clean and comfortable. We cooked most of our food in the well stocked kitchen. The game room was a huge hit for the kids and the serenity of the pond was a win for the grown ups! Everything was super! Loved the location too! So easy to get to all the good places.
